Register Additional Bank Account at the Department of Planning and Investment
Registering an additional bank account at the Department of Planning and Investment is required when a newly established business or an existing business with one bank account opens a new account. The business must submit supplementary tax registration information at the Department of Planning and Investment.

According to Article 53 of Decree 78/2015/ND-CP:
“Article 53. Notification of Changes to Tax Registration Information:

In the case of a business changing its tax registration information without changing its business registration content, the business must send a Notification to the Business Registration Office where the company is headquartered.
The notification content includes:
a) Company name, address of the head office, business registration number, and date of issuance of the Business Registration Certificate, Tax Registration Certificate, or Business Registration Certificate;
b) Content of the changes to the tax registration information.

The Business Registration Office receives the Notification, enters the data into the National Business Registration Information System, and transfers the information to the Tax Department’s database. If the business requests, the Business Registration Office will issue a Certificate confirming the change in the company’s registration information.”
Based on this regulation, the tax authority and the Department of Planning and Investment have agreed that the Department of Planning and Investment will accept the changes to a company’s tax registration information.
Documents to be submitted at the Department of Planning and Investment include:
After downloading the file, fill out Section 8 (Bank Account) for the changes in tax registration information. You need to provide both the old and new bank account details in this section (do not include the treasury bank account if your company does not open one at the treasury), and specify the bank branch. Leave other sections that have not changed blank.

If the person submitting the documents is not the legal representative, they must provide a Power of Attorney. (Download: Power of Attorney).

Photocopy of the ID card of the person submitting the documents.

Place all documents into a folder.

Affix a seal on the documents if printed on both sides of 2 pages.
